Physical Healing: The Emotional Roots

The health conditions which we experience may hold a hidden gift. They can act as an invitation to uncover and heal long forgotten emotional wounds.

This became particularly clear when working with a client who had a long-term allergy to cats. This client will remain anonymous to preserve their privacy.

As we were exploring the possible emotional roots of their allergy, suddenly, they remembered something they had long forgotten.

When they were very young, they lived in an apartment with their mother who did not like cats and who could be quite scary at times.

One day the client saw a cat outside and decided to bring the cat back home with them.

Just as they arrived at the door of their two-story apartment, panic settled in at the thought of their mothers reaction.

In a state of panic, they threw the cat behind them and it ended up flying out the building.

They never found out what happened to the cat. As a young child, I can imagine how terrifying and confusing this would have all been.

They didn’t remember this incident until decades later during this session together.

As it turns out, ever since then they had a strong physical reactivity to cats.

Was this a mere coincidence?

This immediately made sense to us both - there was an understanding that this distressing event was the source of the reactive response around cats.

In fact, it was not the event itself but rather the feelings that the client felt at the time.

What we felt long ago may still be present within our mind, beneath our conscious awareness.

We transformed this trapped emotional energy through a process called PSYCH-K®.

After the session, this client was eager to see if their cat allergy had resolved. We were both happy to learn that it had - a decades long allergy completely transformed after a single session.

Behind every physical condition is a hidden emotion

It is my hope that this clients story can inspire us to look at whatever physical conditions may arise in our life as our teacher.

When we tend to and care for the neglected feelings underlying our physical conditions, we support our body to naturally and spontaneously heal.

I don’t take any credit for this healing but rather, it was this clients body and mind that healed itself.

Sometimes we just need a little help to step out of the way and allow the process to unfold.

Healing is always possible.
